Naan

How to Make Naan:

Simple recipe of making Naan. May be in your first try it will not turn out that good but for second time it will be like professional.

Ingredients:

Dry Ingredient:

Plain Flour             2  cups
Baking Powder      1 tsp
Baking Soda          ½ tsp
Oil                         1 tablespoon
Salt                        ½ tsp
Sugar                     1 tablespoon
Yogurt                   ½ cup
Milk                       ¼ cup
      Seseme seed

Instructions:

Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, oil, salt, sugar and milk and knead until it becomes fine soft dough. Same like we knead atta.

Cover it and keep the dough for 2 hours (I didn’t put it in the fridge as it’s not too hot now a days).

After 2 hour, apply little oil of the dough and knead 1 or 2 times.

Now with this quantity you can make 4 naan easily. So make small balls, and roll it (I am using atta here to roll).

I add seseme seeds (as much as you like) and roll it so that seeds will stick to dough.  Now apply little water on the back side of rolled naan.

Now warm the tawa. Place the wet side of naan on the tawa and when it start showing bubbles turn the tawa around and hold it upside down on top of the flame until the naan is cooked. (The reason to apply water on the back side of naan is that it will stick to the tawa and it will not fall when you turn tawa upside down).

It’s that simple Enjoy.
