German Strawberry Cake


How to Make German Strawberry Cake:

I followed this recipe to make traditional German strawberry cake.





Ingredients:

For Dough:

  • Butter                    75g
  • Sugar                     60g
  • Vanilla Essence     1tsp
  • Salt                        pinch
  • Eggs                       2
  • All-Purpose Flour  150g
  • Baking Powder      1tsp
  • Strawberry            500g
  • Cream                   1 packet olpers
  • Strawberry Jelly    30g (2 tablespoon)
  • Water (for Jelly)    150ml 

Instructions:

  • Mix butter, sugar and eggs first. Beat until it’s soft and fluffy
  • Then add flour and baking powder and mix well. Until it become soft paste.
  • Butter the round pan, I am using 8 * 9 inches pan. Or the best is  use tart pan if you have.

  • Preheat the oven to 180c and bake for 15mins or until it is cooked and light golden. The picture I shared is dark (as I don’t have the professional camera) that why the golden is too bright.
    let it cool down now.

  • Next step is: I am using just half of olper’s cream (200ml small one) and add 1tsp vanilla essence in it. Mix well and apply on the cake batter.
  • Now put the strawberry on top of it the way you like.

  • Put 150ml water in a pot once the water will be warm than add jelly mix in it. Stir and wait until it is completely dissolve.  
  • Let the jelly cool down little bit but don’t let it hard. Pour on the strawberry and around the cake.
  • Put it in the fridge until it is cold and jelly stiff too. 
  • Now Enjoy
